Contemporary photography and photo art are no longer the only focus of the now 11th FUMES AND PERFUMES exhibition in the Stuttgart Züblin car park. After mixed media art in the form of overpaintings of existing photo exhibits took place in previous years, the portfolio of FUMES AND PERFUMES is expanding this year to include art created with the help of generative AI (artificial intelligence).
Building on the exhibition that has existed since 2014 and is expanded annually,
the latest works by the organizers and curators Frank Bayh & Steff Ochs, Peter Franck, Bernd Kammerer and Yves Noir , as well as the selected guest contributions by Kai-Uwe Gundlach, Mama Tangy, Monica Menez, Serifa and Ben Zank complement the extensive presentation on a total of five car park floors. There will also be mixed media works by Davide Just, Friederike Just, Roman Mares, Julian Preisner, Rahel Cia and the collage artist Stay Strange
, who expand, change and redesign existing photo exhibits . We cordially invite you
to the opening of the exhibition on July 19, 2024 from 8 p.m. and look forward to a relaxed summer evening with cool drinks, good conversations and the jazzy vibes of the Linda Kyei Band .
It will be a party...!
Meta Betties Mind Matters Group Exhibition
Our goal is to showcase a diverse range of perceptions and experiences related to mental health, illustrating what mental health looks like to individuals. We aim to create a collective representation of these perspectives in one space at The Meta Betties Gallery powered by The Canvas 3.0!
As part of Mind Matters, one participating artist will be awarded their own 2024 Solo Exhibit in the gallery. The announcement of the winner will take place towards the end of the Mind Matters group exhibit!
Additionally, on-site mental health resources and information on services for artists will be provided by our partner, Creatives Care.
Come and experience the transformative power of expression and healing through art with us.
Disassociation My art piece is a visual representation of dissociation, capturing the fragmented and surreal experience of feeling disconnected from oneself and reality. Through abstract forms and ethereal imagery, I depict the sensation of drifting away from the present moment, creating a haunting yet poignant reflection of this complex psychological state. This piece invites viewers to explore the depths of their own consciousness and the often-unseen struggles of the human mind.
